Why is there only a default picture of the settings for iCombi and iVario manual cooking programs?

Highlightbox

In manual cooking programs of the iCombi and iVario, only a default picture is shown in the program overview in ConnectedCooking. This article explains the reasons for that.

The display of settings for manual cooking programs is limited to a default picture due to the following technical and functional reasons:

  • Multiple Steps:
    • A manual cooking program can contain several steps
    • Each step can have different parameters and additional options (e.g. humidity, fan speed)
  • Limited Display Space:
    • The summary view cannot show all steps and options clearly on one screen
  • Avoiding Incomplete Information:
    • To prevent incomplete or misleading information, a default image is used instead
    • The default picture indicates that it is a manual program without displaying potentially confusing partial details

The detailed settings and steps can still be viewed and edited using the "Edit" function depending on the role of the user.
